Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e: luxury and electric prototype!
Let Elon Musk and his Tesla hide, let’s hide ecological BMW, hybrid Toyota and Lexus, as well as all other “green” and eco cars. Here is the hell freeze: Bentley unveiled the prototype of its first electric car: the Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e. And from where we stole our hearts.
Two years ago, at the Geneva Motor Show, Bentley showed the prototype of the EXP 10 Speed 6. It never hit the production line but was used to create the hero of today’s text. At first glance, the only difference between these cars is the roof (or the lack of it) and the electric motor instead of the combustion engine.
It can be said that practically all automakers are slowly becoming convinced that the future of motoring is electric vehicles. Even Bentley, who typically inserts 12-cylinder engines into large and very luxurious cars, knows that. And yet it is Bentley that presents the future of a comfortable car.
Bentley EXP 12 Speed 6e
EXP 12 Speed 6e is a car that is designed primarily to lead well and is ideally suited for summer trips around the city. It should be large and comfortable. And while Bentley does not disclose any technical details, it probably will not be an exaggeration to assume that the solutions applied will allow for quick battery charging to minimize the inconvenience.
What else is new? The steering wheel is like an airplane float. Autonomic panel for onboard entertainment and social applications for the passenger. Cameras instead of rearview mirrors.
And although the car will not hit the perfect replica of this prototype, in the near future must appear a new generation Bentley Continental and, who knows, maybe EXP 12 Speed 6e is a preview of the new design of this British brand? Time will tell.
